國立東華大學團隊拜訪駐雪梨辦事處 攜手推動台灣高等教育國際化 / NDHU Delegation Visits TECO Sydney to Advance Taiwan’s Higher Education Internationalization

國立東華大學徐輝明校長率領副校長石忠山、國際事務長蘇銘千等頂尖團隊成員近日率團拜訪駐雪梨辦事處吳正偉處長,雙方就校務發展、國際合作及高等教育趨勢進行深入交流。

會中,徐校長分享東華大學的發展願景與治校理念,並闡述校方如何在震災後展現韌性與創新,推動校園重建與國際化。吳處長則介紹澳洲高等教育體系最新動態,以及辦事處與雪梨地區學術機構及旅澳學人的交流情況。

國立東華大學位於花東縱谷,環境優美,是台灣原住民族研究的重要基地;在國際排名上,藝術與設計領域於2025年QS世界大學排名中名列全球第201–260區間,在《泰晤士高等教育》永續發展目標影響力排名(Impact Rankings)中,多項指標穩居全台前三名。此外,東華大學積極結合在地文化與教育政策,推動高爾夫向下扎根計畫與傳統手工獨木舟課程。

在全校逾一萬名學生中,有來自57個國家的外籍生比例高達13.7%,國際化程度令人矚目。雙方皆期待未來能持續深化合作,推動台灣高等教育與國際接軌,並吸引更多世界目光關注台灣。


National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) President Dr. Hui-Ming Hsu, accompanied by Vice President Dr. Chung-Shan Shih and Dean for International Affairs Dr. Ming-Chien Su visit Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) Director General, David Cheng-Wei Wu in Sydney. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on university development, international cooperation, and trends in higher education.

President Hsu shared NDHU’s vision and leadership philosophy, highlighting the university’s resilience and innovation in rebuilding and advancing internationalization following recent seismic challenges. Director General Wu provided updates on Australia’s higher education landscape and TECO Sydney’s engagement with local academic institutions and Taiwanese scholars in Australia.

Situated in the scenic East Rift Valley, NDHU is a leading center for Indigenous studies in Taiwan. In the 2025 QS World University Rankings, its Art and Design programs ranked in the global 201–260 band. NDHU also consistently ranks among Taiwan’s top three universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The university integrates local culture with educational initiatives, such as promoting golf education at the grassroots level and offering traditional handcrafted canoe-making courses.

Among NDHU’s 10,000+ students, 13.7% are international students from 57 countries, showcasing a high degree of internationalization. Both sides expressed anticipation for continued collaboration to further integrate Taiwan’s higher education into the global stage and bring more international attention to Taiwan.
