【Scholarship】2025 Overseas Community Affairs Council accepts donations for scholarships and financial aid for overseas Chinese students

1. Eligibility
Applicants must meet the specific requirements for each scholarship category and the following general conditions:
- Eligible Students:
- Overseas Chinese students and Hong Kong/Macau students currently enrolled in domestic higher education institutions (including universities and graduate schools).
- Undergraduate students must be in their second year or above to apply (except for junior college students, who must be in their fourth year or above).
- First-year undergraduate students may apply using their graduation transcript from the Preparatory Program for Overseas Chinese Students (PP) (fall semester only).
- Exclusions:
- Applicants who have received the 2024 OCAC Outstanding & Excellent Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship are not eligible.
- The scholarship application is based on the standard duration of study set by each institution.
- Students who have repeated a grade, extended their study period, or are first-year graduate students are not eligible.
- i-OCAC Card Requirement:
- Applicants must hold an i-OCAC Card issued by the Overseas Community Affairs Council.
- Academic Performance Requirements:
- The applicant must have obtained a minimum average academic score of 75 or above and a conduct grade of A for both semesters of the 2023-2024 academic year.
- If any semester's grades are missing, the application will not be accepted.
- The academic average must be calculated to two decimal places.
2. Required Documents (Online Submission + Hard Copy Submission to OIA)
- Application Form
- Fill out the online application and print the form.
- Online system: https://scholarship.ocac.gov.tw/
- Official Transcripts
- Transcripts for both semesters of the 2023-2024 academic year.
- First-year undergraduate students who graduated from the Preparatory Program must submit their PP graduation transcript.
- Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)
- Provide front and back copies (to be affixed to the designated attachment sheet).
- Student ID Card
- Provide front and back copies (to be affixed to the designated attachment sheet).
- For Students with Parents Teaching at Overseas Chinese Schools:
- Provide a proof of employment document issued by the overseas Chinese school where the parent is currently teaching.
- For Financially Disadvantaged Students:
- Provide proof of financial hardship.
3. Application Deadline & Submission
- Online Application Deadline: Submit the online application by February 27, 2025 (Thursday).
- Hard Copy Submission:
- Date: March 3 (Monday) – March 4, 2025 (Tuesday)
- Time: 08:30–12:00 / 13:00–17:00
- Location: Office of International Affairs (OIA)
- Late submissions will not be accepted.
