【Scholarship】113-2 NDHU Scholarship for Overseas Chinese Students
Application Eligibility
- Students with official student status (excluding deferred study students) in this school without receiving this school’s punishment more serious than reprimand (included) during their study.
Note: Qualification for receiving scholarship (including exemption of tuition and receiving of living allowance): until 4th year for undergraduate class, 2nd year for graduate class and 4th year for Ph.D. class. No scholarships will be awarded and students will have to pay for various fees as required for study exceeding the aforementioned years.
- For undergraduate students, academic performance for the previous semester shall rank among the top 35% of classes in their departments with conduct grades reaching more than 80 points.
- For graduate students, academic performance for the previous semester shall rank among the top 35% of classes in their departments with conduct grades reaching more than 80 points.
- For students without academic performance for the previous semester because they are in the period of writing master’s and doctoral thesis:
These students may present their thesis writing plans and file for application within the school’s application deadline. Thesis writing plan shall include research motive and purpose, research structure and design, data collection measures and sources, summary of thesis, reference books or academic paper publications, and so on.
- For students of 5-year program for BA and MA degree, or students with direct admissions to master or Ph.D. degree, academic performances throughout the years in master's or Ph.D. classes can be utilized for application hereto.
Application Measures
- Newly admitted students: Admission documents prepared during application to study at the university will be utilized for review standards.
- Current Students: The following materials shall be submitted for application within the deadline announced by the Office of International Affairs during the opening of each semester:
- Application form for this scholarship (mandatory)
- Official copy of academic performance for the previous semester (mandatory)(online student document application system)
- Ranking percentage in the whole class for the previous semester (mandatory) (online student document application system)
- Other supporting materials for review: (For instance, teacher’s recommendation letter, competition award certificate, extra-curricular cadre proof, presentation of academic paper, and so on.) (optional)
Application Date
9am-12pm, 1pm-5pm, Mar. 3 to Mar. 4, 2025
Please submit the application documents to the Office of International Affairs before the deadline. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Important Note

- The applicants shall complete all the registration processes within the regulated deadline.
- The scholarship review results are expected to be announced by the end of April. Awardees will be formally notified via correspondence sent to their university email addresses. Regrettably, individuals who do not receive an award will not receive additional notification.
