TOCFL Test Fee Subsidy for International Degree-seeking Students

To support international students in developing Chinese language proficiency and pursuing career opportunities in Taiwan after graduation, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) offers a subsidy for the Formal Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL).

1. Eligibility
Applicants must meet all the following criteria:
• International Degree-Seeking Students: Must be currently enrolled as an international degree student (Exchange students are not eligible).
• Exclusions: This subsidy is NOT available to students from Mainland China.

2. Subsidy Details
• Amount: Formal test fee (capped at NTD 2,000 per applicant).
o TOCFL A2 (Level 2): NT$1,000 subsidy. Max 100 students.
o Band B & C (Level 3-6): NT$2,000 subsidy. Max 100 students.

3. Requirements & Deadlines
• Year-End Deadline: The certificate must be obtained and the application submitted no later than December 15th. Applications for certificates issued in the following year or submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
• Required Documents:
o Application Form (please refer to the attached file)
o Original Certificate
o Official Payment Receipt
o Student Certificate
o Copy of Bank Passbook Front Page
• Frequency: Each student is eligible for one subsidy per year.

4. Application Process (Reimbursement-Based)
This subsidy operates on a "Pay First, Reimburse Later" basis:
1. Register & Pay: Students register and pay for the TOCFL exam on their own (ensure you keep the original receipt).
2. Take the Exam: Take the exam and receive your certificate.
3. Submit Application: Bring all required documents to the OIA to apply for reimbursement.

[!IMPORTANT] Quotas are limited. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until all places are filled or the annual budget is exhausted. Approved applications will be consolidated and processed for reimbursement on a monthly basis, with funds disbursed as early as the following month.
