2027 Taiwan–Canada Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI) Program – Applications Opening Soon
The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) has commissioned the National Institutes of Applied Research (NIAR) to collaborate with Mitacs Canada in launching the 2027 Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI) Program. Applications will open in August 2026.
The program offers undergraduate and graduate students from Taiwanese universities the opportunity to undertake a 12-week research internship at a Canadian university or research institution between May and October 2027, promoting academic exchange and research collaboration between Taiwan and Canada.
To help prospective applicants learn more about the program, an online information session featuring program details and alumni experiences will be held as follows:
- Date: July 15, 2026 (Wednesday)
- Time: 3:00 PM (Taiwan Time)
- Program: Introduction to the 2027 GRI Program, application guidelines, and experience sharing by former interns
