President Hui-Ming Hsu Leads NDHU Delegation to New Zealand and Australia to Strengthen International Partnerships and Sign Cooperation Agreements
From August 6 to 14, 2025, a delegation from National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) visited Auckland, New Zealand, and Sydney, Australia, to enhance international academic cooperation and broaden channels for exchange. The delegation was led by NDHU President Hui-Ming Hsu, and included Vice President Chung-Shan Shih, Director of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) Ming-Chien Su, Deputy Director Chen Chen-Yu, Chief of the Office of Accounting Hsueh-Chuan Cheng, and OIA Project Assistant Mei-Sung Chiang.
In New Zealand, the delegation visited Auckland University of Technology, Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga, Massey University, and the University of Waikato, holding in-depth discussions on short-term visiting scholars, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) courses, short-term programs, student exchange, and dual degree opportunities. A highlight of the trip was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Waikato, establishing a solid foundation for future collaboration in academic research and faculty-student exchanges.
The delegation then traveled to Sydney, Australia, where they visited the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Sydney, Western Sydney University, University of Technology Sydney, and University of New South Wales. TECO expressed strong recognition of NDHU’s efforts toward internationalization and pledged active support in promoting NDHU’s global education programs to attract outstanding students and expand collaboration opportunities.
Through this visit, NDHU successfully strengthened its network with leading universities in New Zealand and Australia, further enhancing its visibility on the international higher education stage. The delegation emphasized that NDHU will continue to deepen bilateral exchanges, foster multi-level cooperation, and strive to create a more globally competitive learning and research environment.
